Oh boy, what a mess: the new Mercedes E-class Coupe

Mercedes have just released  the first official photos of their new E-Class coupe. And all The Guide can say is “what a mess!”

Curves, swoops, straight lines, cut lines – and all in no discernible order or proportion. We think even Chris Bangle could have done better. No, we’re sorry to report that this new E-Class looks a terrible, confused mess.

The new car is due to makes its debut at the Geneva motor show. Evo is reporting that it comes loaded with a bunch of features that make it a more sporting drive than the outgoing CLK that it replaces. This may well be true but The Guide just can’t tear itself away from thinking about how ugly this poor little mutt is long enough to care.

Actually, does anyone else have the word Hyundai involuntarily popping into their heads as they stare at this photo?
