The old girl is back

Well, we did tell you we were hauling the site off for a little ‘work’. And now she’s back.

So…what do you think? An improvement?

The old girl is back

The Prodigal Guide returns after a little nip and tuck. What do you think?

Author

Our editor-in-chief, the self-proclaimed "greatest wit, raconteur and bon vivant of our age", borders on delusional. Over the years, The Fool has squandered more money on fast cars, Swiss watches and electronic gadgetry of all kinds than he – or his bank manager – cares to remember. Come nightfall, he can invariably be found stumbling out of Dukes mumbling “just one more Martini; I could have handled just one mmmmm… [thud!]”

looks like a great start! clean and dignified, especially in the color and typeface choice. “active” sites like this can get sloppy very fast, but you’ve done a great job keeping it all well controlled. i’m curious why ‘watches’ is the farthest-right subcategory, as it is the most dense content class, and arguably the one most people currently come here for… or is part of this redesign a shift towards a more broad stream of articles as well?

either way – well done… tasteful jewelry beats over the top cosmetic surgery on the ol’ girl any day. just ask elle (I think…)

That’s right, Jeff. Alphabetical order. And you can’t imagine how many arguments I had with Straight-Six about it. He wanted watches front and centre.

They do however have pride of place on our homepage: the first highlights bar after the three latest stories.

I would have thought that your fledgling little company could use all the free publicity it could get. Not to worry though, I’ve removed the link.
