SalonQP 2011 highlights: Chronoswiss Grand Pacific and Pacific Chrono

While our good friend Dublo and his delicious model wife breezed through the Chronoswiss stand at SalonQP taking shots from the canapé tray, your editors spent a bit more time filming two models that caught our interest: the Chronoswiss Pacific Chronograph and the Grand Pacific.
Actually, the chrono version came across as slightly too loud, large and over-designed, while the sunburst, metallic-brown dial of the Grand Pacific (in our favourite case size of 40mm) hit our eye exactly the way it needs to. Particularly when you’re wearing Champagne goggles. And with the latter weighing in at £2,550, we think this may be worthy of a longer-term test. We should celebrate that there is so much goodness in the under £3,000 segment right now we don’t have enough wrists to strap ‘em all on.
