What’s that you say? SIHH was back in January? What the Hell are we doing posting highlight videos ten months later?

Well, you know, sometimes it takes the cream a little time to rise to the top. That and the fact that we were so blown away by the hits that our Jaeger-LeCoultre SIHH video got when we posted it a couple of weeks ago. So, we thought we would plunge the depths of the Prodigal video vault once more and see if it could produce any more treasures.

Has it delivered? Oh we think so. Here for your viewing pleasure are Audemars Piguet’s two limited additional Royal Oak anniversary models: the Openworked Extra-Thin Royal Oak and the Openworked Extra-Thin Royal Oak Tourbillon. They’re only making 40 of each of these platinum beauties and while the price tag will make your balls tighten, there’s no denying how special they look and feel.

They’re not everyday watches by any stretch of the imagination – and, for our money, the regular Royal Oak automatic is therefore more compelling and relevant – but it’s hard not to covet them regardless. Impressive stuff, Audemars Piguet, impressive stuff indeed

Come nightfall, he can invariably be found stumbling out of Dukes mumbling “just one more Martini; I could have handled just one mmmmm… [thud!]”
